New
A help centre with a guide for every screen
Help & Guides now contains a full set of written guides covering getting started, quotes, jobs, the phone app, invoices and CIS, health and safety, and your account. Each guide walks through the relevant screens step by step with a screenshot of each one. The help chat draws its answers from these same guides. Limits: The chat will only answer from the guides once the new chat is live. Reactive maintenance, the housing modules, planning, fleet, and custom forms do not have their own guides yet.
Chat is the firm's WhatsApp, with a record kept forever
You can now use Chat as your firm's internal messaging, with a permanent record tied to each job. Create a group, add or remove members, assign admins, send documents and photos, and run polls; assign the group to a job and every message from the start of the conversation is logged against it. The job's Chat tab has a Record view where you can search every message, edit, deletion, vote, and membership change, export the lot as a CSV, and the record is kept for as long as your firm is a customer. Chat works on the web and both phone apps, with notifications throughout. Limits: The record belongs to the company, so if someone leaves the firm their name stays on the job's record. Documents sent in Chat download to your device rather than opening inside the chat window.
Improved
The chat guides are published
Four help guides for the chat feature are now published, covering the basics, groups, documents and polls, and the record a job keeps.
What's new and System status are footer links, not menu entries
The What's new and System status links have moved to the footer of the sidebar, alongside the legal links, rather than appearing as entries in the main menu. This keeps the menu clear for the screens you use to get work done.
Fixed
The AI assistants answer again, and a company's invoices load
The AI assistant inside the app was showing "No response" to every question asked of it; it now returns the answer along with follow-up suggestions underneath. The automated assistant on the website chat, which handles queries outside support hours, now draws on the help articles to answer questions rather than routing every message to a person.
Starting a capture on iPhone no longer freezes on "Which site?"
On iPhone, tapping to start a capture from "Everything else" could leave the "Which site?" question frozen on screen, not responding to any tap. Opening a toolbox talk or induction signing list could also show it empty when the site roster was slow to load. Both faults are now resolved: the question responds every time, and the signing list fills with everyone clocked on the moment the roster arrives. Limits: If the phone has no signal and has never loaded that site's roster, the signing list still starts empty and names are typed in as before.
