£9/mo · included with ProRFI management with the impact recorded
Estimark’s RFI module raises numbered Requests for Information against a job or a tender, tracks each one through urgency, due date, recipient and response, and records the programme impact in days and the cost impact in pounds. Recording the impact at the time is what makes a late answer a claim rather than a grievance. It is included from the Pro plan (£249/month) up.
What the RFI Management module does
- Numbers each RFI automatically and attaches it to a job or a tender.
- Records the recipient as an internal user or an external contact with a name, type and email address.
- Tracks sent date, due date and response date, with the response text held against the RFI.
- Stamps when a reminder was sent and when the RFI was escalated.
- Records programme impact in days and cost impact in pounds against the RFI.
- Carries an urgency and a status, plus attachments.
RFI Management — how it works
What is an RFI in construction?
A Request for Information is a formal, numbered question from the contractor to the design team or client about something the drawings or specification do not answer. It matters commercially because a late answer can delay the works, and the delay is only recoverable if the question, its date and its consequence were recorded at the time.
How does Estimark record the consequence of a late RFI?
Two fields on the RFI itself: programme impact in days and cost impact in pounds. Alongside the sent date, due date, reminder timestamp, escalation timestamp and response date, that gives the sequence a delay claim is built from without anyone reconstructing it from email months later.
