Estimark’s Training & Qualifications module holds a worker register and tracks 21 named qualification types per worker — CSCS, CPCS, SMSTS, SSSTS, IPAF, PASMA, Gas Safe, 18th Edition, C&G 2391, face fit and more — with card number, issue date, expiry date and the certificate document itself. It also carries the health and safety policy register with versioning. It is included from the Pro plan (£249/month) up.
What the Training & Qualifications module does
- Keeps a worker register with name, job title, contact details and an optional link to an employee or a user account.
- Records 21 qualification types by name rather than as free text, so reporting on "who holds SSSTS" is a query.
- Holds card number, issue date, expiry date and notes per qualification, plus the uploaded certificate document.
- Stores a CSCS verification timestamp, status and the raw verification response.
- Alerts before a qualification expires, so a card lapse is caught off site rather than at the gate.
- Powers the site attendance gate — a QR clock-on can be checked against qualification records.
- Versions health and safety policies with an issue date, review date, issuer and change notes, keeping one current version per policy group.

Which qualifications does Estimark track by name?
Twenty-one types, chosen because they are the ones a UK principal contractor asks to see at the gate.
- Cards and schemes: CSCS, CPCS, NPORS, ECS.
- Site management: SMSTS, SSSTS, CITB HSE test.
- Access and plant: IPAF, PASMA, abrasive wheels.
- Trade competence: Gas Safe, 18th Edition, City & Guilds 2391.
- Health and safety: first aid, fire marshal, asbestos, face fit, manual handling, working at height, confined space, plus "other" for anything not listed.
How does qualification tracking gate site access?
When an operative scans a job QR code to clock on, Estimark can check their induction validity, qualification records and RAMS acceptance. The site gate has three modes — off, warn or block — and defaults to off, so enforcement is a decision you make per site rather than something imposed on a two-person firm.
What happens before a card expires?
Estimark alerts on qualifications approaching their expiry date. Because expiry is a stored date on a typed qualification rather than a note in a spreadsheet, the alert is reliable and the report of who is about to lapse is a single list rather than a manual check.

Which plan includes qualification tracking?
Training & Qualifications is included from Pro (£249 a month) upward and with Enterprise, or £12 a month individually on Solo or Core.
Can Estimark stop an operative with an expired CSCS card clocking on?
Yes, if the site gate is set to block. The gate checks induction, qualifications and RAMS acceptance at QR clock-on and can be set to off, warn or block per company. It defaults to off.
Can I store the certificate itself?
Yes. Each qualification record holds an uploaded document alongside the card number and dates, so the evidence and the expiry date are the same record.
Does Estimark check CSCS cards against the scheme?
A qualification record carries a CSCS verification timestamp, status and the raw response returned, so a verification result is stored against the card rather than remembered.
